1. Acceptance
These terms and conditions (the "Terms") govern the use of the kumite.ro platform (the "Platform"), operated by DOBRE R FLORIN PFA, registered with the Trade Register under no. F8/46/14.01.2022, tax ID (CIF) 45478642, legally represented by Dobre Florin ("we" or the "Provider"). By creating an account or using the Platform you accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy and, if you represent a club, the Data Processing Agreement.
2. What the Platform is
The Platform is a karate competition management system: clubs register their athletes and enter them into competitions, organisers configure championships, and competition officials manage draws, bouts, refereeing and results. Results are published on the public pages and on scoreboards.
3. The account
- A club account may only be created by a person aged at least 18 who is authorised to represent the club.
- New accounts are activated after approval by a Platform administrator. We may refuse an account without having to give reasons.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for every action performed from your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
- Account details must be true, complete and kept up to date.
4. Club obligations regarding athletes
By entering athlete data, the club declares and warrants that it:
- is entitled to register the athlete and to pass their data to the Platform and to competition organisers;
- has informed the athletes and, for minors, their parents or guardians about the processing of data through the Platform, in line with the Privacy Policy;
- holds the written consent of the parent or guardian to publish the photo of every minor athlete, and the consent of every adult athlete, before uploading a photo;
- ensures the data entered is accurate, in particular the date of birth and weight, which determine the competition category;
- will delete or update the data of athletes who leave the club and will honour requests from athletes and parents regarding their data.
The club is responsible for the data it enters. We may ask for proof of the consents mentioned above.
5. Acceptable use
You must not: enter false data or data about people you are not entitled to represent; access accounts or data that are not yours; attempt to bypass security mechanisms; use the Platform for spam, automated data extraction or any unlawful purpose; disrupt the operation of the service.
6. Competitions and results
- The rules of each competition (categories, fees, deadlines, eligibility) are set by the organiser, not by the Platform. Registering through the Platform does not guarantee acceptance by the organiser.
- Results, draws and rankings are published on the public pages and scoreboards and remain as the historical archive of the competition.
- Referee and organiser decisions are recorded in the Platform as given; appeals are addressed to the organiser.
7. Intellectual property
The Platform, its design, code and related marks belong to us. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the Platform for its intended purpose. The data you enter remains yours or your club's; you grant us the right to store, display and process it in order to provide the service.
8. Availability and changes
We make reasonable efforts to keep the Platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may suspend the service temporarily for maintenance and may change or withdraw features. We will try to announce significant changes in advance.
9. Limitation of liability
The Platform is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect losses, loss of data caused by the user, decisions of organisers or referees, or temporary unavailability of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, the law or the rights of others. You may close your account at any time by writing to contact@kumite.ro. On closure, data is deleted or anonymised as described in the Privacy Policy; competition results remain in the archive.
11. Personal data
The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. For athletes' data, the relationship between the club and the Platform is governed by the Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these Terms for club accounts.
12. Changes to the Terms
We may amend these Terms. The current version is shown at the top of the page. Material changes are brought to the attention of authenticated users, who must accept them to continue using the Platform.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes are settled amicably where possible and otherwise by the competent courts of Romania.
